CompTIA A+ is requires two separate Exams 1.Core 1(220-1001) and
2.Core 2(220-1002).CompTIA Released new exam series effective on 15th
-Jan-2019.The previous versions 220-901 and 220-902 were introduced
in December 2015 and it is will be retired in july 2019. That
means if you already passed the first exam (220-901) or are
studying for it currently, you will want to also take and pass
220-902 before July 31st, because CompTIA doesn’t allow you to mix
exams from two different series.
The
new exams include expanded content to reflect the developing role of

new approaches to operational procedures. While
CompTIA doesn’t require a minimum level of experience for
candidates, it recommends 9 to 12 months of experience in the field
or in the lab. You need a minimum score of 675 (on a
100-900 scale) to pass.

taking Exam 220-1001 should be able to demonstrate these core skills,
among others:
- Installing, configuring and maintaining PCs, mobile devices and software
- Diagnosing, resolving and documenting common software and hardware problems
- Providing customer support to end users and applying troubleshooting
- Understand basic concepts such as desktop imaging, virtualization and networking
The
CompTIA A+ Core 1(200-1001) exam is gives special importance to
technology more. Previously Cloud and virtualization were lumped in
with other systems and technologies.
